My 11yo daughter had the opportunity to nominate to (captain of the house) position -aka in Egypt ‘Alpha’. School provided an online interview questionnaire to her asking why she sees herself as a captain. Listen to this: ” I am following empathy, understanding, collaboration, and diversity. I also have some improvements to do for the class atmosphere. ” That was one of her answers to the interview questions!
Lessons learned: A) The world has changed where more common personal traits and skills are getting cultivated at a very young age including childhood
B) You and me do not need Harvard or Stanford or Wharton to learn leadership or carry leadership certificates
C) Leadership traits are so intuitive coming from the inner-self as a starting point
D) Always learn from your kids and taste the bite of your vulnerability assuming that you do NOT ( know everything! )
